		About the BD-Institute The Business Development Institute International (BD-Institute) is a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting business development (BD) excellence through the Capability Maturity Model® for Business Development (BD-CMM). We provide direct support and services to organizations that use BD-CMM as their framework, path, and guide for managing and improving business development results. The BD-Institute promotes collaboration among diverse communities involved in business development. The resulting Community of Practice includes Corporate Members, Alliance Partners, Approved Providers, and Certified Appraisers from around the world that share the BD-Institute's vision and participate in the continuing development of BD-CMM. Mission and Vision The BD-Institute's mission is to promote an innovative community of practice in business development through appraisals and self-assessments, best practices, certifications and benchmarking. We envision the BD-CMM as the industry's standard framework for how to achieve maturity in BD capability and be a leader in BD results. We seek to be industry's preferred source for measuring BD capability and setting the path toward innovation and organizational transformation. We bring together diverse BD functions and specialties in identifying and articulating BD best practices and benchmarks across industry Organization The BD-Institute focuses on extending the reach of the BD-CMM and serving a global Community of Practice. The Management Team provides direct services, oversees delivery quality of licensees, and collaborates with our Alliance Partners and Approved Providers. All operations are guided by a Board of Directors, whose membership reflects the breadth and goals of our Community of Practice.
